In collaboration with Experiences for Mankind, I was tasked with redesigning the Rescu mobile app onboarding experience. The Rescu App saves lives by offering a faster way to get help for you in an emergency situation. It helps to avoid the delay from public dispatcher services by giving you real time instant help.
The Problem:
The prior onboarding experience within the platform was very lacking and did not provide any education on how to properly use the Rescu service. Not only did it lack useful information to the user, it was very outdated, non user friendly, and did a poor job of obtaining user data.

The Solution:
Design and create a robust onboarding experience that represents the brand in a clean and functional way while simultaneously educating & delighting new users of the Rescu process. In addition, create various touchpoints that allow users to input certain information that enhance the app's ability to cater to their needs effectively.
Results:
The original onboarding flow and the newly designed flow were A/B tested to gain further insight. We found that the new flow performed much better in terms of significantly more sign-ups and less drop off, and users weren't reporting hardly any bugs or reaching out for additional help. The onboarding look and feel actually paved the way for a redesign of the website.
